Ingredients[edit]

  1. Chicken - 200 gms
  2. Onion - 1 medium
  3. Tomato - 1 medium
  4. Ginger - garlic paste - 1 1/2 tsp
  5. Chilli - 1 tbsp
  6. Coriander - 1 tbsp
  7. Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  8. Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  9. Pepper - a pinch
  10. Cashew paste - 1-2 tbsp
  11. Salt
  12. Oil

Preparation[edit]

  1. Wash and clean the chicken.
  2. Cut it into small pieces and marinate it with salt and turmeric powder.
  3. Saute the onions.
  4. Grind together ingredients from ginger garlic – black pepper corns, with 1-2 tbsp water, into a fine paste.
  5. Heat oil in a pan. Add sliced onions. Cook till it becomes golden brown colour. Add ground masala & curry leaves. Fry the masala till the oil appears. Add chopped tomatoes. Mix well & cook for 3-4 mins. Add cleaned chicken pieces & salt. Mix well and make sure that chicken pieces are coated well with masala. Add 2- 2.5 cups of water. Cover & cook till the chicken is almost done.
  6. Add the cashew paste to 1 cup of water and pour to the curry. Mix well and bring it to a boil. Reduce the flame. Cook for a few more minutes & remove from fire.
